Contacts connection method within wiring field - wire ends arranged outside field and held at positions w.r.t. contacts

A multicore cable contains insulated wires for connection to contacts within a wiring field. The cable end to be connected is stripped of its insulation, its wires spread out and arranged in accordance with the distribution of corresponding contacts. The arranged wire ends are outside the wiring field itself and held in a holder containing at least one holding device. This device is so adapted to the wiring field, that the wires to be connected are held in specified positions w.r.t. the contacts. In an embodiment, the slidable receiving block, the receiving comb and/or the fixing body consists of plastics material at least at the sides facing the switching wires to prevent short circuits between wire ends.
