Zusammenfassung:Crosslinkable coating compsn. contains (A) an ester diol of formula (HO-CHR-CR2R3-COO-CHR4-CR5R6-CHR7-OH (I) (where R1 to R7 can be H or 1-4C alkyl and R2 with R3 and R5 an dR6 can also be linked to a 5-8C cycloalkyl ring, provided gps. R1 to R3 and R4 to R7 each contain 2 alkyl gps.), having mol. wt. 204-500, or a mixt. of (I), provided component (A) is liquid below 35 degrees C, and (b) a polyisocyanate. Proportions of (A) and (B) are such that equiv. ratio -NCO:OH gps. is 0.7:1 to 1.3:1. The compsns are used for coating metals, wood or plastic substrates, e.g. by spraying, brushing on, immersion or airless spraing. Compsns. have low viscosity, good sprayability and form hard, glossy coatings.
