Zusammenfassung:Dental articles are produced from dental materials contg. 10-90 (20-80) esp. 40-75 wt. %, w.r.t. wt. of article, of microfine inorganic filler presence exclusively in particle size 5-700 (10-400) m mu. Esp. prodn. of dentures and dental prostheses, e.g. fillings, including front teeth fillings, crowns, inlays, bridges, from compsns. based on polymerisable monomers and/or polymers. Use of microfine particles results in finished articles having improved compressive strength, e.g. 4000-6000 kg/cm2, excellent transparency, homogeneous surface, and good polishing properties. Articles obtd. are opalescent, like natural teeth.
