Zusammenfassung:	Volatile components are removed from molten polyamides, e.g. nylon 6, before melt spinning by (a) subjecting the molten polyamide to turbulent treatment with a gaseous medium at a sub-atmospheric pressure, (b) continuously withdrawing and recycling a part of the molten polyamide, and (c) imparting the recycled part with the gaseous medium so that an intimate mixt. is formed. The molten polyamide is exposed to very intensive contact/mixing with the gaseous medium, so that monomers/oligomers are efficiently removed. A relatively small amount of gaseous medium is used.
