Zusammenfassung:	The space behind the front bumper (2) of the flat fronted vehicle has a profiled depression (3) into which the spare wheel (4) can be stacked in a vertical, flat setting. The depression is deep enough so that the metal wheel rim fits between the bumper bar and the body, for added collision protection. The wheel can be secured by a single stud (12) and covered with a protective cover. No special moulding is required in the body, which would reduce the amount of spacing between the body and the occupants, thus reducing any crash protection. The wheel is also low enough not to interfere with fresh air inlet grilles.
