Zusammenfassung:	The redox sintering of metal powder comprises shaping a quantity of powder metal particles to form a body, heating this body in a furnace at a temp. which is lower than the standard sintering temp. of the metal, changing the atmosphere inside the furnace repeatedly from oxidising to reducing nature and maintaining the temp. so that the surface of the metal particles is alternately oxidised and reduced and in which the metal is attacked in such a way that, at the furnace temp., a surface oxidation and -reduction occurs. A non-metallic substrate covered with a quantity of powder metal particles is metallized by this sintering procedure. Method is used for the metallisation of ceramic substrates for soldering purposes.
