Zusammenfassung: | The equipment uses liquefied gas of low boiling point in a precooling and a pulverisation zone, being intended particularly for handling metal scrap to be broken up small, rubber, plastics, waste etc. The precooling zone comprises a rotary tube slightly inclined to the horizontal and to the bulk material outlet following it. This is followed by a barrel-shaped chamber constituting the pulverisation and drip zone, and which rotates about its axis. The drip zone proper is in the form of an auger conveyor. The rotary tube can be divided into two symmetrical halves by a central partition parallel to its axis. The maximum diameter of the barrel chamber is preferably sufficient to maintain a bath of liquefied gas in the lowest portion. |
