Zusammenfassung: | The application is particularly to shipboard aerial where pitch and roll, as well as wind, exert, forces on the aerial support structure. The aerial driving shaft is located in bearings which are located on upper and lower triangular plates each with sides of equal length. The corners of the plates are joined by three struts thus the structure resembles a truncated pyramid. To prevent buckling of the struts due to external forces these are braced with stiffening rods forming a triangular lattice on each of the three sides. The whole structure may be covered with a cladding to protect the drive and other apparatus against the weather. |
