Zusammenfassung:A continuous method of making controllable quantities of skeletal catalysts operates in a neutral aq. suspension in closed circuit, using alloys of the catalyst metal with aluminium and/or zinc as the starting matl. the aluminium and/or zinc is leached out from the ground alloy using an alkaline liquor and the prod. is sepd and removed. The alloying constituents are leached out from the ground alloy in a flowing alkaline soln. pref. a soda soln. contg. 0.5-15 (4-6)% soda, which is directly heated with steam, esp. to 80-100 (90-85) degrees C, the hydrogen being sepd. and removed from the flowing system by conventional means, while the remaining heterogeneous system is sepd. by continuous washing of the catalyst and centrifuging or magnetic sepn.
