Colour photography material with composite layer - consisting of two silver halide layers with same gradation but different sensitivities

Colour photography matl. has emulsion layers for forming the blue-green, magenta and yellow image parts, >=1 layer being a composite layer consisting of two silver halide emulsion layers (I and II) with practically the same gradation but different sensitivities. (I) and (II) both contain diffusion resistant dye couplers, and the less sensitive of (I) and (II) also contains a cpd. that releases a non-diffusion resistant development inhibitor when reacted with the oxidn. prods. of the dye developer. The sensitivity difference between (I) and (II) is controlled so that the required lowest value of log I. to obtain the max. colour density in the more sensitive of (I) and (II) corresp. to the threshold sensitivity of the less sensitive of (I) and (II). Excellent sensitometric properties. are obtained with emulsion having a relatively great linear part of the colour density curve.
