Windscreen wiper and wash system - has rear windscreen automatically washed at intervals corresponding to front wiper speed

The rear windscreen wash/wiper circuit switch is regulated via the centre contact of the wiper motor park position switch. The rear wind screen wash pump and wiper motor is regulated by the front windscreen washer switch to give a reduction of 4:1 so that the rear wiper makes one cycle to every four front wiper cycles. The centre contact of the front windscreen wiper motor switch, park position is connected with the rear windscreen wiper wash system relay switch via an impulse reduction stage. The centre contact therefore gives regulator impulses for the relay switch corresponding to the front wiper cycles and speed, the impulses being small at interval drive, greater at low speed and considerably faster at full speed.
