A reinforcing grid, of height is not 6 mm. less than the depth of the dish shape, is arranged in each dish shaped body and embedded in a refractory lining. The grid is pref. made up of strips arranged as concentric rings with aligned partition plates forming connecting chambers of area 1 dm2. This design allows the plate to be used at up to 1500 degrees C, e.g. in blast furnace blast heaters. |
