Zusammenfassung: | 1499680 Burners R FETZNER and R SIEBER 24 Feb 1975 [2 March 1974] 7586/75 Heading F4T A burner comprises a fluid-fuel-nozzle 3, Fig. 1, for feeding the fuel in the form of a cone a into a combustion chamber 1, and two or more air nozzle tubes 6, symmetrically disposed around the cone, nozzles 6 being adapted to emit air in layers into the cone. Air passes in the direction b between the nozzles and igniters 4, and also into nozzles 6 at c and thence into chamber 1 through straight or curved slits or openings 7. Each nozzle 6 is rotatable, and axially movable about its axis to vary the air supply direction to the cone, the air in the nozzles being heated by combustion gases e. The nozzles may lie parallel to the surface lines of the cone a, Fig. 1, or parallel to its axis, Fig. 3 (not shown), or have openings providing air supply in both of these directions, Fig. 4 (not shown). In a modification, additional bores (16) for air supply, Fig. 6 (not shown), may be provided. Other arrangements including guide plates (19) &c. Figs. 7-10 (not shown), may be provided for regulating the direction of air supply. A bolt (27), rotating slide (28), or a slide tube (30), Figs. 11-13 (not shown), may be provided. The burner may include the combination of a bowl (33), and nozzles 6 which can be rotated and moved axially, Fig. 5 (not shown). There is disclosed several arrangements of air nozzles which can be moved axially and rotated, and also carried by an angle piece (35) which can also be rotated, Figs. 16-19 (not shown). A further combustible gas (h) may be mixed with the air (d), Figs. 20, 21 (not shown), and an angled drive may be provided for rotating the nozzles, Figs. 23, 24 (not shown). |
