Fixing of powder picture images in electrophotographic copier - without direct contact with copy carrier involves heating with warm air

Electromagnetic copy apparatus for fixing has a device for fixing powder images which has an open-weave belt passing over a roller arrangement, through a tank filled with a liquid. The copy carrier passing under the belt passes air jets, which spray the liquid from the open weave belt through it as a fine spray on to the copy. A warm air drying arrangement is included. For correct dosage of the liquid speeds of open weave belt and copy carrying belt are variable. Fixing time can be controlled. The open weave belt and the conveyor belt carrying the copy move in opposite directions.
