Zusammenfassung:	The endless conveyor is for the transport and buffer storage of piece goods between loading and unloading stations, having a pair of chains with mountings for the items, running over sprockets and between the stations. The sprockets are moved in the transverse direction by a drive incorporating counterweights, being locked by the drive to secure the chains in the loading and unloading positions. The mountings run at right angles to the chains, and the return loops of the chains between the separate drives, for the loading and unloading sides are stationary, being so arranged as to accommodate nearly the entire chain length in a zigzag pattern over a short length in a confined space.
