Variable focal distance photographic objective - has variator system comprising movable lens support in objective tube

The lens support features a projection extending through the focal distance control slot of the tube. The projection is connected to a manually operated positioning element. It is adjustable in a predetermined rotational position of the positioning element by means of a control curve for setting the sharpness of the image of close-ups. The control curve is fixed to another positioning element. Both positioning elements are designed as rings and arranged coaxially to each other. An engaging clutch is positioned between both rings in a given relative position of the rings. The disengaged clutch allows an adjustment of the focussing ring.
