Zusammenfassung:Crude oil is processed by (A) heating to 360-380 degrees C under 20-70 atmos. after addn. of 20-500 Nm3 hydrogen per tonne, (B) separating the product into vapour and liquid phases, (C) treating the vapour phase without condnsn. or pressure increase by catalytic desulphurisation, with or without further addn. of hydrogen, and (D) separating and recycling the unreacted hydrogen from the product. Costs of intermediate condensn., storage re-heating and re-compression of the vapour phase are eliminated.
