1427438 Corrugated spring discs; valves HOERBIGER VENTILWERKE AG 20 Nov 1973 [20 Nov 1972] 53767/73 Headings F2S and F2V A spring disc assembly suitable for a compressor valve, comprises two similar adjacent plates 7 coaxially disposed in inverted relationship to each other, each having at least two concentric rings interconnected by angularly equally spaced radial webs 8, respective sections 9, 10 of adjacent rings lying between adjacent pairs of webs 8 being protuberant in opposite axial directions, said adjacent plates 7 being displaced angularly relative to each other through an angle equal to half the angular distance between adjacent webs 8. Figs. 2 and 3 show an embodiment where the rings are divided into three sections. Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown) illustrate an embodiment where the rings are divided into two sections. The disc assembly is used to bias the valve plate (6), Fig. 1 (not shown), against the valve seat (1) of a compressor valve.
