Zusammenfassung: | The temperature compensated giant laser has all components mounted on the cylindrical housing frame to prevent a lowering in the laser performance due to thermal distortions occurring in the active medium. The active medium is incorporated into a Fabry-Perot optical resonator whose one reflector i sa totally-reflecting 90 deg. prism. This prism is sited with its ridge, i.e. apex edge, parallel to the active medims thermal distortion axis. The other reflector is a partially reflecting mirror. The active medium end face opposite the 90 deg. prism, and the prism face opposite the active medium are both at the Brewster angle relative to the resonator axis. The 90 deg. prism can be rotated about an axis perpendicular to the distortion axis. |
