The metal foil (pref. a Ni-Cr alloy) and the carrier (Al2O3, sodium silicate glass or borosilicate glass) are chosen in such a manner that the difference between their coeffts. of linear thermal expansion is 26-66 x 10-7 degrees C-1. The temp. coefft. of the electric resistance is within the range plus-or-minus 3 x 10-6 degrees C-1. |
