Zusammenfassung:The electrical resistor consists of a plane carrier foil of synthetic material which is covered with a thin electrical conductive layer with contact areas. The contact areas are connected electrical conductive and mechanical rigid with the thin layer and with external connecting wires and covered with a layer of thermoplastic material. The conductive thin layer has a diagonal inclined stripe pattern with small stripe width and small stripe distance. Several parallel stripes of resistance or conductive material have been overlying deposited forming an acute angle with the diagonal stripe pattern. The distance between the parallel stripes is considerable larger than the stripe width. Diagonal stripe width: 10-100 micron; acuta angle:sin = 0.05-0.5. Parallel stripe distance: 0.5-2.0 mm; distance to width: appr. 10. The manufacturing method of the diagonal stripe pattern is by pulling the continuous coated carrier foil between two rotating cylinders. The cylinder on the uncoated foil side has spiral elevations and is pressed against the foil while the upper rotating cylinder brushes the by the spiral raised part of the conductive layer away. Thereafter parallel strips is coated. The resistors are obtained by cutting the foil appropriately. Main application is for RC networks.
