Zusammenfassung: | The safety cut-out switch has a cylindrical housing at the bottom of which is an inertial mass. When the inertial mass is displaced by a collision in any direction it moves a support peg from under the spring loaded catch. The catch then drops and cuts off the current supply from the battery by open circuiting two contacts at the top of the housing. In dropping the catch closes two small contacts at the bottom of the housing. This connects a single cell in the car battery to a special low voltage hazard warning flasher, whose power requirements are low enough not to cause an explosion hazard. |
