Zusammenfassung: | Undersea oil well drilling tool in encapsulated form consists of inner and outer components forming a chamber between. The inner component has connections for the housing and the outer component has means for placing on the hole. A number of sets of first and second bearing rings are provided on the inner and outer components respectively. An incompressible medium capable of transmitting pressure is introduced into the chamber specified and between the bearing rings so that medium and ring together support the inner component on the outer component. Preferably a number of single pressure chambers are provided between the rings forming any one set of bearings, medium being provided in each chamber and means to link this to the remaining chambers and thus even out the pressure. |
