Filling port for resin application to junction boxes - has external neck for resin supplement to compensate for resins vol. reduction

The filling port for cable junction boxes etc. which are filled with liquid resin, has an external neck around its circumference to accept an extra amount of resin equal to the amount by which the volume of resin in the housing reduces owing to the decrease in viscosity during the hardening process. This neck thus ensures that no empty spaces are left inside the junction box housing. After the resin has hardened the neck can be sealed with a flexible cap, having a circumferential collar engaging the neck edge.
