Zusammenfassung: | 1438778 Hydrogenation of heavy hydrocarbons UOP Inc 22 Aug 1973 [23 Aug 1972] 39753/73 Heading C5E In a process for the hydrogenation of a heavy hydrocarbon charge stock that contains metals, in at least two moving-bed reactors, the hydrocarbons and hydrogen react in a first reactor in the presence of regenerated catalyst and in a second reactor in the presence of fresh catalyst, and the used catalyst from the second reactor is regenerated by burning and at least part of it provides the regenerated catalyst for the first reactor. Another part of this regenerated catalyst may be recycled to the second reactor. The catalyst may comprise iron, cobalt or nickel on an inorganic oxide base, e.g. of alumina, silica, zirconia, boria, or combinations of these, and may also comprise molybdenum or vanadium. Part of the catalyst from the first reactor may be regenerated and returned to that reactor. The rest or alternatively all of it may be sent to a metals-recovery unit. The hydrogenation may be a hydrotreating to remove sulphur, nitrogen and metals, or a hydrocracking or a hydrofining. |
