Foundation prepn. for heavy pylon - uses pile driven through prefabricated concrete crown set in earth shaft

Foundation is made with a foundation pile and concrete head for a heavy overhead cable pylon. A prefabricated concrete crown with an outer reinforcement is set in a ground shaft, and the pile is rammed into the interior of the crown and into the earth. An inner reinforcement with projecting pylon connection elements is inserted into the inner region of the crown, which region is then filled with concrete. Handling of shuttering is eliminated. The pile may have a double T profile, and is rammed in until its top end lies below the top end of the crown.
