Zusammenfassung: | Pyrolysis gasoline is rendered non-corrosive by contacting with an aqs. alkali-contg. alkali metal bisulphite soln. The treatment prevents corrosion of tanks and pipelines in contact with pyrolysis gasoline; this cannot be prevented by a single alkali wash. The treatment soln. pref. contains 5-100 g/l bisulphite and has a pH of 5-9 (esp. 6.5-7.5). The bisulphite is pref. NaHSO3 or KHSO3. The alkali can be NaOH, KOH, Na2CO3 or K2CO3. The gasoline is pref. contacted with the soln. in countercurrent with a soln./gasoline vol. ratio of 0.05-0.2:1. The spent soln. can be regenerated by heat treatment (esp. steam stripping) and recycled. |
