Selvedge forming device - for roving shed looms with multiple simultaneously insertable weft yarn

Selvedge forming device associated with looms having roving sheds and provided with two draw bars moving alternately in opposite directions of which bars one is provided with a needle for carrying the binding yarn and the other is provided with at least two guides moving laterally in alternately opposite directions over crossing yarns. Draw bar carrying two sections of the intersecting yarns is provided with a common pin which is journalled on the draw bar and supports on the one hand a fulcrum lever one arm of which terminates in a pt. provided at its sides with recesses whilst the other arm co-operates with a further fulcrum lever carrying at its free end a guide slot for at least one of the sections of the crossing yarns. Pin supports on the other hand a locking fulcrum lever whose one arm supports a spring the other end of which is anchored on the draw bar and whose other arm co-operates with one arm of a third fulcrum lever mounted pivotally on the bar and engaging with a slot the pin. Other arm of the third fulcrum lever is provided with a guide slot for the other sections of the intersecting yarns, whereby one of the recesses is faced by a change-over member held in its central position by a spring.
