Zusammenfassung:These polymers are produced by boundary phase polycondensation of chlorobisphenols (I) or mixt. with bis-hydroxyaryl-alkanes with dicarbonyl chloride (mixt.) in the presence of salts of quat. ammonium, phosphonium, antimonium or arsenium bases, (one of) the (I) having a grouping in which the C atom between 2 opt. substd. aryl rings is linked via a double bond with the CCl2 grouping. They give films and coatings with very good mechanical and dielectric props. The films are clear and smooth and can be poured from solns. in readily available solvents (CH2Cl2, C2H2Cl4) without the addn. of plasticiser.
