1341955 Analgesic &c medicines RICHARDSON-MERREL Inc 18 Oct 1972 [9 Nov 1971] 48056/72 Heading A5B [Also in Division C2] Compounds of formula:- in which n is 1-3, R is phenyl, a C 1 -C 4 alkyl group, or a 1,4-butadienylene group which with the benzene ring to which it is attached forms an alpha or beta naphthyl nucleus, with the proviso that when R is a 1,4-butadienylene group n=1; and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof have analgesic and anticoagulant activity and are used in therapeutic compositions. Other analgesics such as acetylsalicyclic acid or p-ethoxyacetanilide may also be present in the compositions with or without a stimulant such as caffeine.
