Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	A polyurethane-foam-forming compsn. (I) contg. isocyanates, polyester or polyethers, is reacted in presence of particulate adsorbent (II) e.g. activated coconut charcoal) a minor amt. of water, and a catalyst, (II) being coated with a film-forming polymer (III) which does not react with the ingredients of (I) nor dissolve the PU foam and can be removed with the aid of a solvent or by application of heat. The (III) is starch, gelatine, various vegetable gums and subst. celluloses, a polyalkylene oxide, PS, PVA polyvinylmethylether or a polyalkylacrylate. Used for removal of impurities from e.g. water, the prod. has good adsorption action. The reaction is free from undesirable side reactions and is easily controlled.
