Zusammenfassung:	Furnace mould for electroslag remelting of metal consists of a two part mould, the upper part, which is for holding the slag, being fitted with a stoppered removal duct which upon actuation allows the slag to be quickly removed. The stopper is e.g. of graphite of less specific wt. than the slag. By removing the slag after remelting the dwell time in the mould is reduced and so the production rate of the mould is increased.
