Zusammenfassung:Rate of feeding crimped fibre tow to compaction chamber and associated buffer chamber provided at its outlet with draw off rollers is effected by measuring the pressure drop across the buffer chamber using a jet of compressed air, applying the variation of pressure caused by passage of the tow through the buffer chamber to close electric contacts in a signalling system and applying the electric signals to control the speed of the draw off rollers.
