Zusammenfassung:Material for addition to cupola furnaces producing cast iron, which reduces the amount of slag making material and coke which need be used contains 20-25% dolomite residues; 20-60 lime dust residues; 0-25% fluorite; 0-25% sodium hexafluorosilicate; 1-5% ferro-silicon; 0-3% NaCl; 2-4% binders e.g., dextroze, molasses etc., in water. The general compsn. is 4-8% SiO2; 1-4% Al2O3; max. 0.2% Fe2O3; 45-60% CaO; 12-24% MgO, max. 1.5% Na2O and K2O 12-20% F; heating loss 18-22%. The finely ground solid is mixed with binders solutions and roll pressed to briquettes etc., which after drying one added to the cupola furnace charge.
