Heat treatable nickel alloy - contg hafnium to eliminate defective heats

Heat treatable alloy consists of (by wt) : 0.05-0.13% C, 13-17% Cr, 14-20% Co, 3.9-60% Mo, 3-4% Ti, 3.5-5.0% Al, 0.005-0.05% B, up to 0.3% Zr, 0.08-2% W, balance Ni. Hf eliminates the possibility of obtaining defective heats frequently obtd. with heats of prior art alloys.
