Zusammenfassung:2-Cyanobutadiene is (co)polymerised in org. solvent at - 100 to +100 degrees C using an ether, tert amine, tert. phosphine and/or an organoaluminium cpd. as cocatalyst. An ethylenically unsatd. cpd., =50 wt.%, can be used as comonomer and the ether can act as solvent as well as cocatalyst. Thermoplasts or rubbers are produced which are vulcanisable and used for mouldings. They are soluble in polar org. solvents e.g. DMF, DMSO, CHCl3.
