Zusammenfassung:	Title salts of formula (I): (where X is >=1 anions of an (in)organic acid) are rapidly and sensitively reduced to give formazans having a favourable absorption at 525 mm, extremely high solubility and a high molar extinction coeff. They are useful for the photometric determination of reducing substances and, esp., for detecting biological reduction processes or determining enzymes or their substrates involved in reactions in which reduced pyridine nucleotides are formed or consumed. (I) can be obtd. by reacting a cpd. of formula (II) with a reactive benzenediazonium salt and treating the resulting formazan of formula (III) with an oxidising agent.
