Zusammenfassung: | A flotation plant comprising a square chamber with charging and discharging device and a rotor with associated drive for the dispersion and mixing of air within a suspension, whereby the rotor of inverted conical, semispherical or multifaced pyramidal shape, is provided with undulations on its external surfaces. The hollow drive shaft supplies air to the rotor, from which this air escapes via opening or annulus in its lower section. The device ensures improved air dispersion of 2.5 to 3.0 m3/min per 1 m3 chamber volume, whereby the circumferential speed of the rotor is 7M3/sec. Lower energy consumption compared with other known methods is also claimed. |
