Zusammenfassung:	Non-expanded micaceous fillers (pref. vermiculite) are added to plastics binders to produce materials of low flammability which do not drop on exposure to flame and may or may not foam. Composns. pref. contain 2 - 50 (5 - 20) wt.% chlorinated or chlorine-contg. polymer and 2 - 50 (5 - 20) wt.% non-expanded vermiculite based on the total plastics content. Suitable plastics are epoxy resins, polyolefines and polyamides, or mixts., and suitable chlorinated polymers are PVC, chlorinated polypropylene or chlorinated rubber. Blowing or cross-linking agents may be included. The materials are suitables as sound and heat insulations in the form of paints, linings or coatings.
