Zusammenfassung:1386998 Digital control system VEREINIGTE FLUGTECHNISCHE WERKEFOKKER GmbH 14 July 1972 [14 July 1971] 33167/72 Heading G4H In a digital control system in which the actual values of the controlled system are sequentially scanned and control signals are generated by comparison between the actual and nominal values, the actual and nominal values are conducted via a switching unit to an accumulator to which certain coefficients are also conducted, and, within a scanning interval, the accumulator successively determines coefficients of the control signal, stores them, and when all signal components are present, passes them via the switching unit to the control elements. As shown, the analogue actual values are fed from controlled system 1 to analogue to digital converter 7 where they are scanned and sequentially converted to "dual code" which comprises a number of pulses proportional to the analogue value. The digital signals, together with the nominal value and the coefficient from the coefficient memory 5 are fed to switching unit 6 and the switched signals to accumulator 7. Here the control signals are calculated from the three inputs and are stored. When all signals are present, they are conducted to switching unit 6 which limits the word length if necessary and thence to digital to analogue converter 8 and combined directing means which feeds the analogue control signals to the correct part of system 1. The sequential operation of the device is controlled by unit 4. In an alternative embodiment the coefficients are modified by the nominal value which is not supplied separately and the modified coefficient are updated as required since the control signals will now only indicate direction of variation of value to system 1.
