Generator apparent power limiter - has amplifier delivering voltage dependent on current to voltage comparator preceding voltage regulator

The limiter restricts the apparent power produced by a generator using a regulator that applies a counteracting additional reference to the generator's control loop when the load current exceeds a given value. The regulator(1) is an amplifier whose output is the additional reference voltage which is passed to a comparator receiving the actual voltage with the main reference voltage. This comparator controls the generator's voltage regulator(2). The amplifier's output is fed back via a resistor(4) to its input-side comparator to relate voltage drop to current increase.
