Zusammenfassung:1344708 Guanidine derivatives DOW CHEMICAL CO 19 April 1971 [25 March 1970] 23598/71 Heading C2C [Also in Division A5] 1,2,3 - Tris - [(p - halobenzylidene)amino]- guanidine compounds of the formula wherein X is chlorine or bromine are prepared as the hydrochlorides by reacting triaminoguanidine hydrochloride with the appropriate halogenated benzaldehyde in aqueous ethanol. The free base compounds may be obtained therefrom by treatment with ammonium hydroxide.
