1343371 Reoxidizing photographic bleaching or bleach-fix baths AGFA-GEVAERT A G 10 March 1972 [20 March 1971] 11276/72 Heading G2C [Also in Division B1] A photographic bleaching or bleach-fix bath is reoxidized by atomizing the liquid of the bath as a fine spray in an oxidation chamber in the presence of oxygen and then separating the liquid and gaseous phases of the spray using a separator. The process may be effected in the presence of air. The gaseous phase separated from the spray may be re-cycled to the oxidation chamber after addition of fresh air or oxygen. The process may be effected at the temperature at which the bath is used and may be effected in the same chamber as bleaching or bleach-fixing. These baths are rapidly made available again for use without being impaired by the accumulation of foreign salts using this process.
