Zusammenfassung:1327125 Nozzle for spraying cans NORDSON CORP 19 April 1971 [24 Feb 1970] 22435/71 Heading B2F A spray nozzle, for use in spraying the inside surfaces of cans open at one end, has a hollow body with an approach passage terminating in a hemispherical dome which is cut to form an orifice having sharp pointed terminals at each end. Figure 5 shows a plan view of the orifice of a preferred form of nozzle. The orifice is formed by two cuts inclined to one another (see Fig. 7). The orifice has its maximum opening offset from the centre point so that it sprays an asymmetrical flat fan pattern with maximum flow achieved between the centre and one end. This maximum flow in use, is directed at the seam joining the end of the can to the side wall to ensure good distribution of paint.
