Zusammenfassung:	A rigid polyurethane foam is produced by one-step reaction of a polyarylisocyanate (I) and a polyol of formula (II) (where R or R' represent H, CH3 or C2H5, and when R" is H then at least one R' contains 6-19 C atoms; or it may be phenoxymethyl or alkylphenoxymethyl in which the alkyl contains 1-12 C atoms; and at least one R" contains 5-18 C atoms if R' contains at least 1 C atom, provided that three are not more than 19 C atoms in R' + R".
