Multi-part sliding roof for a cross country vehicle sunroof has sections with independent movements to be set in a variety of configurations and is flush with the roof when closed without projecting guides

The multi-part sliding automobile sunroof (1) has one section (D1) with an angled movement, and at least two further sections (D2,D3) which slide along the line of the automobile to give the positions to open and close the opening in the roof. A fourth fixed roof section (D4) is linked to the other three lengths. The sliding roof sections ride in guide rails, when moved by the roof opening/closing mechanism. The first roof section (D1) is pitched into an angle and the others are moved by their sliding blocks in the guide rails to be shifted separately and independently and in succession along the guide rails. At least one moving roof section or both sections (D2,D3) can be set at an angle in the closed position.
