The invention relates to a device for applying or dispensing at least one aromatic substance, comprising: at least one container (38) which is used to accommodate at least one aromatic substance; at least one applicator or dispensing device (34) which is used to transfer a very small amount of aromatic substance from said container (38) onto the skin, in the air or onto a fragrance carrier such as a paper; at least one control device (32) actuating said dispenser (34); at least one input device (24) which is used to input data relating to the quantity/mixture of at least one aromatic substance; and at least one computing device which is preferably arranged inside the control device and used to generate activating and/or dosing signals on the basis of said data relating to quantity/mixture. Aufbringen wenigstens einer Duftsubstanz mit: DOLLAR A - wenigstens einem Behälter (38) zur Aufnahme mindestens einer Duftsubstanz, DOLLAR A - wenigstens einer Auftrags- oder Austragsvorrichtung (34) zum Überführen einer Kleinstmenge einer Duftsubstanz aus dem Behälter (38) auf die Haut, in die Luft oder einen Duftträger (12), z. B. ein Papier, DOLLAR A - mindestens eine Steuerung (32) für die Betätigung der Auftragsvorrichtung (34), DOLLAR A - wenigstens einer Eingabeeinrichtung (24) für die Eingabe von Mengen/Mischungsdaten wenigstens einer Duftsubstanz in die Steuerung, und DOLLAR A - wenigstens einem, vorzugsweise in der Steuerung vorgesehenen, Rechner zum Generieren von Aktivierungs- und/oder Dosierungssignalen aus den Mengen/Mischungsdaten.
