In color photographic silver halide (AgX) material with a base and light-sensitive AgX emulsion layer(s) containing a heterocyclic cyan coupler, at least one layer contains a 3-(2-hydroxy-, 2-alkoxy- or 2-acyloxy-phenyl)-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-2-one (I) or (substituted) 3-phenyl-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-2-one (II).
