Device comprises a projector (4) and an additional device (3) so that it shows the edges of an image (6) directly projected on to the scene. The projector can be adjusted for different image formats and different focal lengths. This adjustment can be undertaken manually or via a synchronizing contact (7) that connects a control signal from the additional controlling device (3). Typically the beam used to indicated the scene is a coherent laser light beam (5).
