Brake adjusting device esp. for drum brakes has pressure bar with bimetal element to compensate for temperature-dependent brake adjustments

The brake has two brake shoes, a pressure bar (8), and an adjusting wedge. The pressure bar has a bimetal element (17) to compensate for temperature-dependent adjustment of the brake. The element is located at the end of the bar away from the adjusting wedge. The bimetal element has a stop strip (20), which is formed by a folded section of the element, and projects into the play gap. The element has two arms, with one arm (23) fastened to the pressure bar, and a second arm (20,22) projecting into an aperture in the bar. The second arm consists of a material, which is resistant to temperature-dependent deformations. Es handelt sich um eine Nachstellvorrichtung für eine Bremse, insbesondere für eine Trommelbremse eines Kraftfahrzeuges, mit zumindest zwei Bremsbacken (1, 2). Ferner finden sich eine an der einen Bremsbacke anliegende Druckstange (8) und ein Stellkeil (9), welcher zwischen der anderen Bremsbacke (1) und der Druckstange (8) zwischengeschaltet ist. Zum Zwecke der selbsttätigen Nachstellung der Bremse wird die Druckstange (8) von dem Stellkeil (9) abgehoben und der Stellkeil (9) unter Vergrößerung seiner wirksamen Keilfläche verschoben. Zum Ausgleich einer temperaturbedingten Nachstellung der Bremse weist die Druckstange (8) ein Bimetallelement (17) auf, welches im Bereich des dem Stellkeil (9) abgewandten Endes der Druckstange (8) angeordnet ist.
